I use Firefox and the type faces look normal on my screen.

I'm on a Mac and use WebKit (Safari / OmniWeb rendering engine) and everything always looks fine.

If it's an Internet Explorer problem then just tell people to use Firefox or to buy a Mac. Internet Explorer is basically the devil of web programming.

I'm using my openSuSE 10.1 system on x86, and Firefox 1.5.08. I also have MSIE 6.01 SP1 (from a legal W2K install on another PC) working on this Linux box under Wine. I also have it in a W2K VM using VMware server on my Linux box.

Your site looks good, 10px in sidebars and 13px in the body. Both look consistent on the front page and on the comment pages that I went to. No inconsistent sizes or fonts, etc., using any browser or OS. I'd suggest 11px in the sidebars, but I don't reference tham much so it's not a big deal.

Of course, pages display gorgeously with Firefox in Linux (I have core MS fonts installed as well), but MSIE 6.01 is crappy under Wine or in the VM. Font-sizes are consistent, etc., it just looks crappier. Haven't tried XP, maybe it's font-rendering capabilities are better than W2K ... it would have to be orders of magnitude better to be at Linux/Firefox level.

And this is on an AMD Sempron 2600 board with integrated Nvidia graphics!

No issues on my office HP portable, my home office athlon1800 or my rec room athlon3200, all on XP, NVIDIA Cards for the PC's and Intel on the portable.

No issues on my computers.

Your site looks ok on my machine . I use Firefox 2.0.0.1. Nice to see you back in the 'sphere. I was a frequent reader of LIB.

Looks fine to me (Debian "Sid", Firefox 1.5.0.7). Fonts might be a bit small for my aging eyes, but CTRL-+ fixes that for me.

In the past, I have found font name confusion (different fonts under the same name on different systems), but that doesn't appear to apply to your site (Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif) unless I've missed something in your CSS.

Fine in Firefox, fine in piece of..I mean IE.
